Luton Short Course – gala report
Last weekend saw our squad compete at the Luton Short Course gala. The ‘Flyers’ were there both on Saturday and Sunday and put in a tremendous effort. There were 2 Regional Times, 6 Age Group Records and 38 Personal Best swims in which 7 of our squad achieved 100% PB’s from their races.
Well done to Joshua Foreman who set two new Regional Times for 100M and 200M Backstroke. The 200M Backstroke was also an Age Group Record.
Well done to Alicia Slater who swam 8 races and set 8 Personal Best times. Within these personal best times Alicia also set Age Group Records for 100M Backstroke, 100M Freestyle and 200M Backstroke. The other personal bests were in 50M Fly, 100M Fly, 50M Free, 200M Free and 200M Individual Medley.
Well done to Chloe Jacobs who set both Club and Age Group Records for 100M and 200M Backstroke.
The 6 other swimmers who achieved Personal Bests in all of their races were: Hannah Vogel (50M Backstroke, 200M Freestyle and 400M Freestyle), Natasha Tan (50M Breaststroke, 50M Backstroke, 100M Breaststroke, 50M Freestyle, 100M Freestyle and 50M Butterfly), Peter Oakley (50M Breaststroke, 50M Freestyle, 100M Breaststroke and 200M Breaststroke), Allie Foreman (50M Freestyle and 50M Backstroke), Lara Hugh (200M Freestyle and 100M Freestyle) and Erica Shuker (200M Individual Medley).
Well done to Portia Nicholas-Jago who knocked over 29 seconds off her 400M Freestyle time.
