How to enter

By visiting the gala calender on this website you will see the list of events we are taking part in this year. By the side of each gala it will specify the level of swimmer eligable to enter the event. We highly recommend you place these dates in you diary early to keep them clear for when the entry forms are distributed. 

Types of Events

Peanuts, Majors and Inter-club Galas:

For these events the gala secretary will circulate an email asking for swimmers availability for the date of the gala. A swift response is extremely helpful in allowing the coach to time to pick a winning team. Once the team has been chosen the gala secretary will again inform swimmers by email.

Open, County and Regional Events:

These events have differing entry criterias for which the gala secretary will circulate details to the swimmers who are eligable by email. Some may require a written entry from and some a electronic response to the gala secretary. All these galas incur a cost per event details of which will be included in the email and final entry will be on reciept of the cheque made payable to Hertsmere Flyers.

Important notes:

It is always advisable to keep documentation on your personal best times for all strokes and distances. The gala secretary does keep a record if you are unsure.
It is also advisable to discuss with the coach any open swims you are planning to participate in.
There are 3 types of registration at open events either: Event Cards, Sign in or Deck Seeded Event.
