CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Our annual Club Championships were held at The Venue on Sat 26th November together with our Presentation Evening.
The swimmers were busy in the pool and swum a total of 94 personal bests(pb).The meet was licensed as a level 4 and gave the opportunity for swimmers to gain County Qualifying times(CQT). In total 21 CQT’s were swum 3 of which were new – congratulations to Tomer Amit (50m back) - his first CQT – Maddie Simmons(50m breaststroke) and Ashley Randall ( 50m butterfly).
Rebecca Mackett(50 free) and Nick Michel(50 fly) also swum times that would gain them qualification to East Regional Youth Championships in May next year – unfortunately the license level of the club championships was too low to give them automatic qualification but they will have several more chances to replicate their times in a higher level gala. Nick also managed the milestone of finally breaking 60secs for 100m freestyle.
Chloe Simmons swum an excellent race to break both the club record and the 14 year old girl’s junior record in the 50m butterfly.
