Luton Meet Report
Several of our swimmers competed in the annual Luton Meet held at Barnet Copthall. There was some fine swimming from all the competitors who secured 17 personal best times between them.
Congratulations to Miran Shah (16), who secured his first ever regional qualifying times. He also collected two bronze medals in the 50m fly and 50m breaststroke. Other medallists were Megan Davies (silver 200m breaststroke), Ashley Randall (bronze 50m butterfly), Abigail Smith (silver 100m butterfly) and Miranda Willis (gold 400m freestyle and silver 100m backstroke).
Abigail broke the overall Club Record in the 50m butterfly yet again this year along with the corresponding 14 year old junior record and Miranda broke her own junior records in 400m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
A special mention to Georgina Brown who swam a superb 400m freestyle, knocking some 40 seconds off her entry time. Ashvin Kuri and Jonathan Mackett completed the line-up and both secured personal best swims.
