Watford Middle Distance Meet produces wonderful Personal Bests

There were excellent performances all round this weekend when 11 swimmers competed in the Watford Middle Distance Meet.  Incredibly, each and every swim by every single swimmer was a personal best time!

Daniel Schindler was in outstanding form bringing home medals of every colour with 2 golds (200 IM and 200 free), a silver (200 back) and a bronze (200 breast).  Christopher Cox won a gold medal (200 free) and 2 silvers (400 free and 200 back) and Joe Gray won 2 medals, a gold (200 breast) and a bronze (200 IM).  There were medals as well for Miranda Willis (silver in 400 IM) and Adam Colyer (bronze in 400 free).

Christopher Cox really swam into form again breaking 3 Club records (and corresponding junior records), 2 of which were in regional qualifying times (RQTs).  Adam Colyer, Joe Gray and Miranda Willis all achieved one RQT each.  Miranda also set 2 new junior records.

There were 22 swims inside county qualifying times.  In addition to all the above named swimmers, Nick Michel, Zoe Munkley and Maddie Simmons added to our ever-growing list of county qualifiers.

Georgina Brown, Rebecca Mackett and Chloe Simmons completed the Flyers line-up, all swimming very well with sizeable PBs in every race.
